St. Nicholas Church
The Greek Orthodox church of St. Nicholas was built in 1780.
It is traditionally a dedication to St. Nicholas, who was deemed as the protectice saint of the Greek fishermen diving for collecting sponges, and cruising in the stormy seas.

Rock Tombs in Gündoğan and Göltürkbükü

Originally from Bursa,Turkey, this unique singer, composer and actor of Turkish Art Society, and one of the master phonetics of the Turkish language, has been a celebrity in Istanbul, and became a very popular singer and composer.
However, his marginal life style and his costumes, together with his sexual connotations were not welcomed by some minor part of the society, and he did not feel very comfortable living neither in Istanbul nor in Bursa.
Bodrum Maritime Museum reveals the Bodrum maritime history while also exhibiting the current objects to be transferred from now to the future.
You may find here the historical maritime documents and articrafts, preserved sponges, historical fisheries, models of the traditional and world-famous ‘Bodrum Type’ boats, the ‘Gulets’ used for transport during the early stages of tourism in the area.
In addition there are two permanent exhibitions :

Built on the rocky island between the inner harbor and the marina during the ancient times, Bodrum Castle is now located on a peninsula which emerged after the island merged with the main land.
The construction period of this castle of the Knights of Rhodes has been incredibly long, literally more than 100 years, which lasted between the years 1406 – 1523.
The castle has a magnificent outlook with dimensions of 180 x 185 meters.
The castle, which was used as a prison until the end of the 19th. Century, now houses Bodrum Underwater Archeological Museum, which was awarded ‘Certificate of Special Commendation’ in 1995, by the European Museum of the Year Award Committee. Detaylar ve Yorumlar
